The Reedin MasterModel 2026 Kite is the new 5-strut Brainchild big air kite from Reedin. It takes the top spot in Reedin’s big air range, sitting above the SuperModel and HyperModel. While the SuperModel is the all-round performer and the HyperModel leans more toward high-performance freeride, the MasterModel pushes things even further on a technical level. It’s built for riders who can never jump or loop high enough. Designed by Damien Girardin in collaboration with Ralf Groesel, the creator of Brainchild Technology, the MasterModel introduces a new approach to what’s possible with a 5-strut high-aspect big air kite. Thanks to the Brainchild construction, the kite feels incredibly light despite its solid five-strut frame. This keeps it super stable in strong winds while maintaining fast and precise steering. The high-arc shape of the MasterModel delivers its signature explosive lift. As soon as you pull the bar, you feel the power launch you upward, followed by a secondary lift that keeps you in the air longer than most other kites. Landings are smooth and controlled, and the kite remains stable even in gusty wind. The PROWELD® leading edge replaces traditional stitching with a thermal welding process. This technique creates an ultra-stiff structure that holds its shape under heavy load—essential during strong winds and massive jumps. Each weld is digitally positioned for maximum precision, making the leading edge lighter, stronger, and more aerodynamic. The Crossmixed Canopy combines stiff Hardflyte material in the center for extra lift with softer Triple Ripstop fabric in the wingtips for smoother turns. This provides a perfectly balanced mix of aggressive performance and accessible handling, ideal for megaloops or technical big air tricks. The digitally printed canopy also offers environmental benefits, as digital printing reduces solvent and water use during production, making the process more sustainable.

The kite features a 12-point fixed bridle setup. These bridles operate without pulleys, giving a super direct and predictable steering feel. You can sense every bar input through the kite, making the MasterModel extremely precise in control. The fixed attachment points keep the profile stable, which adds rigidity and confidence in strong winds. The trailing edge is reinforced with Trailing Edge Stiffeners—small reinforcements that prevent flutter or vibration in the canopy. This makes the kite more aerodynamic during quick steering movements, improving stability, reducing wear, and ensuring quieter, more efficient flight.
