The 4/3 with a double frontzip is the wetsuit most kiters in cooler waters have in their bag, and the Prolimit Predator 4/3 Double Frontzip 2027 Wetsuit shows exactly why. Four millimetres on your torso keeps your core warm, three millimetres on arms and legs makes sure you never have to work against the material. The zip runs across your chest, which leaves your back as one continuous panel. Prolimit is aiming for minimal flushing and maximum flex in your upper body.
For 2027 the chest and back panels were updated. That is the real change compared to last year's 4/3, which basically means a suit that already worked well got sharpened up in the right spot and left alone for the rest.
Inside you get Zodiac 2 with Velvet Airflex. That lining combines a velvet jacquard fleece with a quick drying thermal layer, takes water off your skin and releases it again fast. You notice it when you want to hit the water twice in one day: the suit still feels fine instead of like a cold, wet rag.
The outer layer is Down Airflex, water repellent, light and with the feel of down. Underneath sits NaturePrene2 Oystershell, 80 percent natural rubber from FSC certified plantations with recycled carbon black, oyster shell powder and soybean oil. The GBS seams are triple glued, blind stitched and taped over per thread. On top of that you get KED knee panels, drainage holes and ankle straps.
