The Free-zip closure, better known to us as a double frontzip, keeps your back free of any zip and makes sure very little water gets in during a crash.
The outside is made up of Airflex 500+ with Q stretch lining, reinforced with ripstop. That sounds technical, but in practice it means two things. The material stretches along nicely when you reach your arm above your head or look over your shoulder, and it holds up against the daily hassle of getting in and out, sand on the beach and your harness rubbing over it. Thin, stretchy neoprene that does not fall apart straight away, that is what pays off in the long run.
The warmth comes from the 3-layer build with NaturePrene2 and the velvet warmth lining on the chest and back panels. So right where you cool down the fastest, you get an extra insulating layer that holds on to your body heat and keeps the wind out. That same velvet lining dries fast, so your wetsuit does not stay clammy between two sessions. On your arms and legs the material stays thin and stretchy, because that is where you mainly want to move.
The panels are triple glued with water based Aqua Alpha glue and then blind stitched. That stitch only goes half way through the neoprene, so there are no holes for water to get through. Every thread is taped off at the end, which keeps the seam clean and strong. The knees have the KED construction and the zip is YKK, so it keeps running smoothly after a season of salt water.
