The O'Neill Hyperfreak 5/4+ Chest Zip Hooded Wetsuit is a wonderfully warm winter wetsuit made of lightweight material, which means that the wetsuit offers maximum comfort. The wetsuit has a fixed cap that fits completely around your head, so that your head is heated to the maximum. The O'Neill Hyperfreak 5/4+ is made from 5/4mm neoprene, using 5mm neoprene in crucial areas to provide maximum warmth. The parts that have to move are made of 4 mm neoprene to get more freedom of movement. As an improvement, this Hyperfreak uses 0.5 mm thicker material compared to the Hyperfreak Comp.

The wetsuit is made of the lightweight Technobutter 3. Technobutter 3 is O'Neill's exclusive hydrophobic neoprene with a feather-light Envy foam core that has maximum stretch. Technobutter 3X, a pre-stretched neoprene that is mentioned as the most flexible and softest material ever made, is used where it needs the most stretch. The combination of Technobutter 3 and Technobutter 3X provides unprecedented flexibility and fit, making this wetsuit not only very warm, but it also has the perfect amount of comfort to get the most out of every session. The seams are GBS stitched, where the seams are first blind stitched and then triple glued to create a watertight seam. In addition, the seams are fully taped with water-based glue using 0.5 mm split neoprene. The wetsuit has a chest zip, also known as a front zip. The chest zip utilizes a free zip panel and an anti-flush barrier with drainage holes to ensure you stay dry.
