Compared to the Trace, the Prime focuses more on freeriding in a variety of conditions and offers greater maneuverability, rather than being purely aimed at light wind performance.

The rounded outline makes edging easy and predictable, which helps you improve your technique faster. The tips feature a carefully tuned flex that keeps the kiteboard comfortable in choppy conditions and prevents the board from catching the water during landings. This makes the Prime ideal for riders working on their first jumps or gradually building confidence in height.

The Prime 2026 is built using North’s Composite construction. A lightweight Paulownia wood core combined with biaxial E glass delivers durability and a well balanced flex. Thanks to the FlipTech mounting system, you can rotate the bindings when one side of the board starts to wear, extending the overall lifespan of the kiteboard. Unique in this category is the reinforced deck construction with a small grab rail, offering extra grip for board offs, a feature usually found on more freestyle oriented boards.
