The T-shirts at Kitemana generally fit true to size, but the fit can vary slightly depending on the brand and model. Some brands, such as Mystic and Dirty Habits, often feature an oversized cut with a looser fit, ideal after a kite session or for a relaxed beach look. Other brands, such as Brunotti or Kitemana’s own collection, tend to have a more casual fit, great for layering or for a sporty look. Each product page usually includes a detailed description of the specific fit.

If you’re between two sizes, it depends on your preference: go for a larger size if you like extra room, or choose a smaller size for a tighter fit. To keep your Kitemana T-shirts looking good for as long as possible, proper care is important, especially if you wear them often at the beach. Salt, sand, and sun can damage the fabric and print over time, so rinse your T-shirt with fresh water after each session to remove salt residues. Wash it at a low temperature (30°C) and preferably use a mild detergent without fabric softener. Fabric softener can damage the fibers and cause the shirt to lose its shape or breathability.

After washing, let your T-shirt air dry, preferably out of direct sunlight, to prevent fading and prolong the life of the print. Avoid tumble drying, as heat can cause the fabric to shrink or damage the print. With a bit of care, your T-shirt will stay fresh, comfortable, and ready to wear for much longer.

In general, the T-shirts at Kitemana are not designed for kitesurfing. Most shirts can handle it (especially the quick-dry or technical ones), but we don’t recommend wearing them while kiting. Regular T-shirts offer little protection against the sun, wind, and harness friction, and we can’t guarantee they won’t fade from sun and saltwater exposure. They can also get heavy when soaked, making them uncomfortable to wear while riding.

If you want something more suitable for water use, it’s better to choose a lycra or neoprene top. These shirts are specifically designed for kitesurfing and offer UV protection, freedom of movement, and quick-drying comfort.
